RWC Quarter-Finals Results
Rugby fans had an amazing experience during the quarterfinals of the Rugby World Cup. England and Argentina faced each other in the first match, with both teams opting for an unstoppable effort that resulted in a very close game. After what could only be described as a continental battle, England emerged with the right to advance after winning the match 25 to 18. They are now one of four teams left in the tournament.
South Africa made short work of Ireland in the second match of the day. They had far too much power and far too much smarts for the Irish, who were never really in the game. South Africa scored three tries to Ireland's none and the Springboks kicked three penalties to Ireland's one. The final score was 27-9.
The third match saw a hard-fought battle between New Zealand and France, with each team trading blows throughout the match. In the end, however, it was New Zealand's talent and experience that shone through, resulting in a 23-13 victory for the All Blacks and a place in the semi-finals.
In the final match of the quarter-finals, Wales and Australia went at it in a classic showdown. Wales came out on top with a final score of 29-25, thanks largely to the superb play of fly-half Dan Biggar. They seemed to enjoy a stylish little celebration afterwards.

All four teams have the chance - and the honor - to lift the coveted Rugby World Cup trophy.
