32Red to Sponsor Horse Races At Nottingham

32Red Plc, the London listed online gambling group, has entered into a sponsorship deal with Nottingham Racecourse.

The deal will see the group sponsor a number of races in Nottingham this year. The first sponsored event will take place this Friday, July 19.

32Red Plc also announced that it will be sponsoring three meetings in October.

The 32Red Nottingham sponsorship deal was welcomed by course manager Pip Kirby, who said: "This is exciting news for Nottingham and I am delighted to welcome 32Red chief executive Ed Ware and his team to Colwick Park.

"We look forward to developing our relationship and ensuring that this sponsorship works well for all parties," he added.

Broad Sponsorship Portfolio in UK for 32Red

32Red Plc has a particularly large racing sponsorship portfolio in the United Kingdom.

Since 2004, the group has sponsored over 1,500 races across the country.

Nottingham is part of the Jockey Club Racecourses Network, along with Market Rasen and Newmarket - two other racecourses with which 32Red Plc has sponsorship agreements.

The Group sponsored the 2009 Flat Jockey Championship, which recognizes the top jockey with the most wins during the racing season.

32Red Plc Sponsorship Across Other Sports

Racing is not the only sport that 32Red Plc sponsors in the United Kingdom.

The group kitted out Aston Villa football club between 2006 and 2008.

In 2009, 32Red announced an official sponsorship of Swansea City Football Club, with Chief Executive Officer Ed Ware saying he was thrilled to be associated with "one of the most exciting clubs in the Championship".

At the time, Ware said that Swansea had become "a very progressive team in recent years and we look forward to an exciting time with them at the Liberty Stadium as their main sponsor".

32Red Plc was founded in 2002 and is listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange. The company was founded by Ed Ware, originally the managing director of Ladbrokes.

The group is licensed and regulated by the Government of Gibraltar and employs around 40 people.

32Red operates the online casino of the same name, powered by the casino software provider Microgaming.

Since the beginning, all of 32Red's operations have been managed from Gibraltar, including marketing, customer support, IT, client maintenance and more.

Canada licenses gambling province by province, not federally. Ontario has run an open market since 4 April 2022: an operator registers with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and signs an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario (iGO) — 48 operators and 82 sites were on the register as of 22 July 2026. Alberta opened second, on 13 July 2026, under the iGaming Alberta Act, with AGLC as the regulator. Every other province runs its own operator instead — PlayNow in British Columbia, Loto-Québec, Atlantic Lottery, PlayAlberta — and issues no private online licences, so residents elsewhere play on offshore sites, which is not an offence for the player. The Kahnawake Gaming Commission, inside Quebec, has licensed offshore operators since 1999. Recreational winnings are not taxable in Canada; playing professionally is the exception.
